Elizabeth Nason

Gladys Elizabeth (Singley) Nason, 71, of Live Oak, Florida, passed away April 17, 2018 at Haven Hospice in Gainesville, Florida surrounded by loving family. Elizabeth was born on August 19, 1946 in Atlanta, Georgia to Dr J. Edward and Virginia Singley. She was the oldest of 4 daughters which included Ann, Peggy, and Patti. She attended Sylvan Hills High School and the University of Georgia. She married Don Suder in 1966. They had a daughter Caryn Virginia. They later divorced and Elizabeth and Caryn moved to Gainesville, Florida. While working as a draftsman, Elizabeth met the love of her life, Garrison Nason. They were married in Gainesville, Florida in 1971. They had 5 more children, Matthew, Joshua, Kay, Caleb, and Salmon. Elizabeth and Garrison founded Gainesville Community Church and pastored it for 8 years. Elizabeth was also an extremely talented artist and had many opportunities to showcase her abilities. She worked at Haven Hospice in Gainesville as a human resource liaison; she and Garrison founded Ambassador Production, a Gainesville graphic design company; and she worked at Bridge-Logos in Alachua as an extraordinary book cover illustrator and book designer. Elizabeth retired in 2011 and moved to the Advent Christian Village in Live Oak, Florida. Elizabeth touched everyone with her kindness, her devotion, and her laughter. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband Garrison. She is survived by her daughters Caryn McCleskey and Kay Rhan; her sons Matthew, Joshua (Jill), Caleb, and Salmon; her grandchildren William and Willow Rhan, and Gabriel Nason; and her sisters Ann, Peggy, and Patricia.
