Eric Clayton Runyon August 25, 1977-June 23, 2022
Eric was born in Lake Forest, IL to Louis A Runyon III and Susan A Topel. As our firstborn,we had him all to ourselves the first 10 years of his life in the town of Round Lake Heights, IL. When his brother Shaun was born in 1987, our family moved to sunny Florida, and in 1990, we found our forever home outside of Archer. Eric loved the country life of dirt bikes and dogs. He grew up to be tall and strong. He had a strong work ethic and gave 100% to the job at hand. He worked for Renaissance Printing and at Circle K stores, but worked the hardest for CLC Lawn Care and The Yard Life Landscaping companies. Even out in all kinds of harsh weather, yard work was always his passion. In 2001, he and Teresa Turner were blessed with their daughter, Breanna. He was a loving father who always put Breanna first and helped her instill confidence as an independent, young woman. In May of 2016, Eric married long time friend Christine Most. He bought a motorcycle and spent many happy hours cruising down the road with fellow biker friends. Eric’s health issues began about 5 years ago with vascular disease & surgeries, but had recently deteriorated into liver & kidney failure. He fought a valiant fight with courage and strength, but it was not to be.
He is survived by his mother Sue Runyon, brothers Chad (Keila) of Tennessee, Christopher (Teresa) of Massachusetts, & Shaun of Archer, and his daughter, Breanna (Charles), nephew Michael, and wife Christine. His Uncles are Jim (Ruth), John (Jayne), & Paul (Chris) Topel. His aunts include Paige (Guy) Hale & Sara (Chuck) Topel, and many cousins. He lived according to the lyrics “Life is a highway, I want to ride it, all night long”, by the artists Rascal Flats. Ride on, Eric.
