Eugene "Geno" Jones

Eugene “Geno” Jones, 65, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 30th, 2023 at his home.

He was born in Tampa, Florida, to Buddy and Florence (Corky) Jones on November 4th, 1957. He grew up with his two brothers and two sisters, having fun with neighborhood friends on Vilano Beach. He attended St. Joseph Academy (class on 1976) where he developed lifelong friendships. Geno was a very charismatic, fun-loving person, and sense of humor known by everyone. Geno had a knack to make you smile and be happy, he was a friend to everyone. Geno had a passion for foosball, aviation, University Tennessee Football and all things racing. Geno leaves behind his children Jacqueline (Eric) Stanfield and Skyler (Ashley) Jones, and granddaughter Stella Stanfield, his childhood friend and soulmate Sandra McGinnis Conner, siblings Deborah Jones-Snavely, Chuck Jones (Sherry), Bryan Jones (Kathy), and Candi Morris ( Jerry) and numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents Buddy and Corky Jones.

 Family and friends are welcomed to attend a Celebration of Life. Please contact the Family or the St. Augustine Boating Club (611 Boating Club Rd, St Augustine, FL 32084) for date and time of service.

    I cannot remember ever a time of seeing Geno that he did not have a smile on his face. I am thankful to have been able to see him again at our class reunion.

  3. Geno was one of the best…he was an awesome little brother. It is so hard to grasp that I won't be able to hear his laughter or give him a hug. Loved our time together.
