Frederick Meade Evans, 71, passed away the evening of October 7, 2022. Born November 21, 1950 to parents Fred and Betty Evans. Fred spent his formative years in Ohio where he went on to graduate from The Ohio State University. Immediately following graduation, Fred entered the Army as a commissioned officer (1st Lt ) where he was stationed at Fort Hood. Fred served in Desert Storm and was the first Battalion Commander of the recommissioned 83rd Chemical Corps. Fred retired as a Lt Col after dedicating almost 21 years of service to his country.
Fred was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting with his beagles. He was a man of many words and often wrote as a way of communicating with the world around him and those in his life.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife Bonne (Spencer) Evans, his three stepchildren Michael Armstrong (wife Kelly, children Ava, Sawyer, Nova), Marie Richards (husband Ian, children Edison and Hemingway) and Emily Smith; and younger brother John Evans (wife, Lesa, Johns children Michael (wife Kristen, daughter Jenna) and Carrie (children Erin, Levi, and Shane).
Fred is pre-deceased by his parents Frederick and Elizabeth (Betty) Evans.
