Gail Jacklyn Hubbard Rook was born on April 13, 1937 to the late Floyd and Harriet Hubbard in Corning, NY. She entered into eternal rest on Friday night November 14th, 2025 in Ocala, FL at Grace Davis Hall Hospice house, where she received immaculate care.

Jackie (as she preferred to be called), was married for fifty-six years to the late George J. Rook. She worked for Corning Inc., in Corning N.Y. until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing card games, watching shows on tv, loved the Hallmark channel and anything and everything Christmas. Jackie loved music of all genreโ€™s, she was very quick witted and never missed an opportunity to show it.

She is survived by one daughter Penny Buck (Joey) Corning,NY, four sons, George T. Rook (Linda) Walterboro, SC, Robert A. Rook (Val) Corning, NY, Kevin D. Rook (Susan) Ocala, Fl and Kelvin D. Rook (Sammie) Beaufort, SC. Two sisters, Judy Barney(Corky) Corning, NY, Suzanne Rowe (Dave) Corning, NY. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren,fifty-three great grandchildren and twenty-one great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband George, two sons Rusty and Steven, as well as her sister Linda Tyler, brother Larry Hubbard and parents Floyd and Harriet Hubbard.

Jackie will be greatly missed but her spirit will carry on in the hearts of her family.

  1. Jackie was one of the kindest ladies that I have ever known. She was not my sister in-law but a caring person. To be honest she was like a big sister to me. Jackie was loved by many. Iโ€™ll always remember the good times we shared. She will always in my heart, and all of her family. God Bless you and rest in peace. ๐Ÿ™
