Gary Evans

Gary Slayton Evans, age 77, passed this world,  on July 11^th, 2018, in Gainesville Fl.

Gary was born on June 1, 1941 to the late Robert Kimball Evans and Evelyn “Slayton” Evans, in Lansing, Michigan.

This wonderful man grew up in Lansing Michigan and relocated to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida.

Gary truly enjoyed his job. He was the founding owner of Olmec Dental Laboratory. He greatly enjoyed working with his sons, his two favorite guys, Gary G. Evans and Geoff Evans. He loved what he did, and enjoyed going to work every day.

His favorite look was jeans, a tee shirt and flip flops. No prisoners taken.

He had many loves which included sailing, water skiing, snow skiing, biking, hiking , running, motorcycling, traveling  and his many pets.. (Teddy and Max) who were some of his best friends.

Gary was a friend to all, and met no strangers. The best friend of many, and would literally give you the shirt off his back.

Gary was a talented artist, and carver.

He was also an excellent chef and loved to cook.

He leaves behind a wonderful marriage of 20 years to his best friend, love of his life, his wife, Georgette C. Evans.

His loving children, Amy Pritchett (Rusty), Gary G. Evans (Annette Walko), Geoffrey Evans, (Denise)  Jennifer Maris (Kevin), John Klindtworth, Jr., Erika Klindtworth (Luan Nguyen) and Ryan Klindtworth (Meredith)

His precious grandchildren,  Luke Pritchett (Radie) , Evan Pritchett (Hayley), Corey Walko, Brittany Walko, Garland Evans, Patricia Maris, Olivia Maris Evans (Tyler),  Maranda Maris,  Alexis Howell and Benjamin Sundberg.

His loving younger sister Dee Evans McCarthy (Pat).
