Gerald (Jerry) V. Pierce, loving father and brother, passed away on August 21, 2022, after a lengthy struggle with bladder cancer. Jerry was just shy of his 81st birthday.

Jerry was born in Jacksonville and a graduate of Paxon High School class of ’59 and Jacksonville University where he had many cherished long-time friendships.

He is proceeded in death by wife Dorothy J. Lewis-Pierce and son Greg S. Pierce, parents Iris Durden- Pierce (Idie) and Lamar V. Pierce. Jerry is survived by his loving son Gerald “Vance” Pierce, Jr. and sister Judy I. Pierce, as well as brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ted R. Lewis & Joyce Lewis, and many nieces and nephews.

He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends who loved him dearly.
