Geraldine Joyce Estes

Geraldine passed away at the age of 88 on Monday, July 25th 2022 at North Florida Regional in Gainesville, Florida. Gerry was born in New Florence, Missouri in 1934. She graduated high school in El Paso, Texas. Throughout her life Gerry traveled the United States and England but considered Gainesville, Florida her home. Amongst her many accomplishments in life, she taught hundreds of students how to play music, had a successful band “Gerry Von and the Variations” and raised her three children; Robert Waddle, Diana Waddle and Shane Estes.

Gerry was preceded in death by her parents Gustav and Bertha Huenefeld, her brother Gaylord Huenefeld, sister Dolores Burton and son Robert Waddle.

Her memories and stories will live on through her sister Vera Miller; daughter Diana Waddle; son Shane Estes; grandson Robert Ratliff; granddaughters Destiny Hutchinson and Regina Dresbach; great grandsons Cody Ratliff, Cheyne & Joshua Michalski; great granddaughters Abigayle & Shyanne Michalski and Dalia Dresbach, and many other friends, family and students whose lives she touched.
