Jack Douglas Doolittle

Jack Doolittle , loving husband with an always “Hello Darlin: to his wife Kathy, mentor and friend to many completed his service on earth on July 8th, 2024 and started his journey to a new heavenly life dancing on the streets of gold and singing “Hallelujah” in his beautiful voice.

Jack was a founder of Environmental Consulting and Technology (ECT) headquartered in Gainesville, Florida. This was his life’s work for over 48 years, not only in Gainesville but expanding to 15 locations within the east and Midwest of the United States.

He was a graduate of Washington High School in Massillon, Ohio where he played football and ran track. He went to undergraduate school at Baldwin Wallace College of Burea, Ohio and again excelled at football and track. Finaly, he went to graduate school at his beloved University of Florida.

His greatest joy was the beloved Florida Gators. He was a big gator booster for over 40 years (He was ranked in the top 500 of boosters for football and for 30 years for basketball.) He was famous for his great tailgate parties which people came from far and wide to attend.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ida and Maynard “Min” Doolittle. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Kathy , step son Brian Weller, two sisters Patricia Hein and Diane Vandersall of Plymouth Minnesota, niece and nephew Kristin Senden ( husband Stewart ) Mark Vandersall ( wife Michele Tafoya Vandersall) , five great nieces and nephews Brynn , Tenley and Callen Senden, and Tyler and Olivia Vandersall.

A celebration of life for Jack will be held at a later date.
