It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother and uncle, James Helme.
Jimmy will be remembered for his easygoing nature, sense of humor, and ability to enjoy life without making it complicated. He didn’t need much—just good company, a familiar movie, and a cold drink within reach.
Jimmy was a man who could tell stories. He had a gift for turning everyday moments into memorable tales, shared with perfect timing and a knowing smile. Often recalling moments from his past, his stories were more than entertainment; they were how he shared his heart. Through them, he passed down memories that will live on long after him.
Jimmy was a man who knew what he liked: a good kung fu movie, preferably with Bruce Lee, and a cold beer to go with it.
But most of all, Jimmy was a man defined by the kindness of his heart. He met the world with compassion, patience, and a quiet generosity. He will be remembered not only for what he did, but for who he was: a good man with a gentle spirit – steady and sincere. This kindness lives on in the memories held close by family and friends.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Jimmy is predeceased by his mother and father, Frank and Jean Helme. Brothers, Frank (Butch) Helme and Charles (Chuck) Helme. He is survived by sisters Deb DiGiovanni, and Donna and Ron (brother-in-law) Reale. Also, many loved nieces and nephews: Matthew, Patrick and Tyler, Veronica and Brett, Ryan, Danny and Ally, Jamie, Michelle and Charlie, Jessica and Peter, Rachel and Will, Christa and Robert, Lucy, Jude, Cyrus, Marcus, Hope and Jacob, Lucas, Livia, and Myla.
A celebration of life to honor Jimmy will be held at a later date.

Thank you, Matt, for the memory. Those stories, I’m sure, could have made a book 🙂
Good memories!! Bootleg, 😂😂😂… I remember them too!
Thank you, Devin!
