Jayme Lyn Stroh

(November 21, 1968 - November 26, 2022)

Jayme Stroh (54) passed on November 26, 2022 when she succumbed to the effects of Cardio-Renal Failure. Having worked for American Pool Management for close to 30 years, Jayme lived many places up and down the East Coast. From her starting block in Maryland, she made a splash outside of Philadelphia, dove into New Jersey, did laps in Long Island, swam south to the Atlanta area, and finally waded in Gainesville, FL until her passing. She became a part of numerous lives.

If she stayed long enough in one place, she made friends who would turn into family.

Jayme was an avid photographer, who often took time to recognize beauty in the mundane or extraordinary in the ordinary. Her family often encouraged her to publish her photos as prints or in calendar form to share how much skill she truly possessed.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Blowers Stroh, and father, Robert C. Stroh Sr. She is survived by her best buddy, George, who currently resides with her stepmother, Kelly Stroh; siblings Robert Jr., Ryan, and Kerry and their spouses. Additionally, the next generation of Stroh’s her nieces and nephews, Reagan, Reese, Rhett, and Lucas. She also leaves behind friends too numerous to list individually.

In lieu of sending flowers, and if so compelled, please purchase tulips for your home in memory of Jayme.

Crevasse's Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Stroh Family.

  1. Jayme, you were always a great friend at Shuttle-UM and as a house mate. Loved that we could spar about the Florida-Alabama game!

  2. Jayme always had a positive attitude and was always smiling she will be missed .praying for peace for her family during this hard time.

  3. Jayme had a welcoming nature coupled with a warm, genuine smile. I only knew Jayme from the family side, she was my niece. It’s so nice to hear coworkers and friends, speak of her, share that part of her i didn’t have the pleasure to know, it was confirmed she was a thoughtful, caring, loving, dedicated, empathetic friend and employee. Rest in peace Jayme.  Know you were loved and will be missed in all areas of your life.
    Laurie

  4. Jayme was a wonderful friend and coworker. Even though she worked out of the Georgia office and I was in Maryland, she was always so polite on the phone- she took every phone call without questioning it. After knowing her for years, we finally met in person when we had dinner at Red Robin’s here in Maryland at a company dinner. Jayme was wonderful. I hope you rest in peace! I will miss you dearly.

  5. To Jayme's family, you have my deepest sympathy. Jayme was a co-worker, and we would often talk almost daily, especially during pool season. I was fortunate enough to meet her, see her many more times. I am beyond shocked, saddened, and shaken by her passing being a fellow diabetic, which we discussed. Jayme, you were one of the kindest people I have had the pleasure of meeting, rest peacefully Jayme.

  6. I am so terribly sorry to hear about Jayme’s passing. We spent a lot of time together while she lived in NJ. We would go apple picking, do holiday cookie baking and have lasagna nights together. I have so many fond memories of our time together. She will be missed!

  7. I was incredibly saddened to hear about the devastating loss of someone so intrinsic to our company. This is a huge loss to anyone that had the opportunity to know Jayme in any capacity. Jayme has been considered one of the OG's of American Pool since the Beltsville days. Our Columbia office has had the opportunity this last year to benefit from her extensive knowledge and dedication to everything she does. I personally enjoyed some very meaningful conversations that I will never forget. We will all miss her terribly and our hearts go out to her family at this difficult time.

  8. Jayme was a great person to work with over the years. Whenever we had a severe weather issues or something else of national note here locally, she was always the first to reach out to make sure our local team was OK.

  9. Jayme was a constant source of optimism and positivity in my life, So sad to loose you but forever grateful of the time we had together. I'll miss our daily chats and Dad jokes every morning. Thank you for everything. Rest easy Jayme <3

  10. I met Jayme while working in the American Pool NJ office back in the early 2000's…. and yes, Jayme sure liked to move around… As I fondly recall assisting her move into two of her many places over years :).

She was one of the kindest and hardest working people I ever met. I will miss you, as I am sure MANY others will as well. Happy journeys my friend.

  11. I bowled with Jayme Stroh in the 1985-1986 Glenmont Duckpin Lanes JR-SR Saturday morning youth league in MD. Jayme had an infectious smile as a teen girl which would light up any bowling center including her teammates of her youth team called the Blue Crue including Glynne Pascal, Corrie Oberdorf, Scott Winters, and Mike Dustin that our team had the pleasure to compete against. Thanks to Jayme, she’s one reason why that particular league in my lifetime in duckpins was my favorite. Jayme is forever sharing wonderful stories with Glenmont Duckpin Lanes proprietor, New York Football Giants great, and NFL Hall-of-Famer Alphonse “Tuffy” Leemans. May any future activities being done in regard to Jayme be done in her loving memory.

  12. I first met Jayme at the University of Maryland when she applied to be a student ShuttleUM driver. Jayme had a fantastic smile, was a very funny individual and one of the kindest persons I have ever had the privilege of knowing. BTW, She also ended up being a kick ass, bus driver to, which we all loved working our way through college.I have a lot of memories of Jayme at various times during the years at the University of Maryland. I believe that the 100 or so of us at ShuttleUM all became better people because of Jayme. She left an impact on all of us.

  13. Jayme I miss you. It’s hard to believe I won’t be sneaking up on you and scaring you, and laughing with you over silly pranks. You touched so many of us, in such a positive way. We were blessed to have you as a friend. Until we meet again my dear friend.

  14. I am already missing your daily "Good morning miss Lara!" messages at work each day. After you left GA, we were able to become friends instead of co workers. You taught me diligence at work. I hope to continue to make you proud. You helped me through the passing of both of my parents with such kindness. You were a huge supporter of Justin and his military career since we have met and he appreciates that so much. You never forgot any of my kids and their accomplishments or birthdays.
I miss you terribly right now, I know that will fade. I know it only hurts so much now, because of the love we shared. Rest easy my friend. Til' we meet again.

  15. Like Laurie I only knew Jayme through family, but she always had a smile and was open to conversation of any kind. So heart warming to hear how much she impacted the lives of others, and was kind to so many. Too young for her to go, we will miss her.

  16. Jayme, you welcomed me into the family with open arms and I’m so thankful for the time we had together. We all miss you & love you so much! Give your dad a big hug from all of us.

Hugs & love to all that know & love Jayme.

  17. We are so sad just learn of Jayme's passing. Jayme is also survived by her half sister Julia Williams and her husband Steven as well as her nephews Louis, Colby, and Sawyer. The time she spent with her N.J. family will be be forever cherished. Rest in piece.
