Jennifer Lyn Butler

March 6, 1976 ~ January 8, 2020

Jennifer Lyn Butler, 43, also known as Jen and Cookie, of Gainesville, FL passed away of a short illness on January 8, 2020. 

Jennifer was born in Jacksonville, Fl on March 6, 1976 to Larry Wayne Butler and Peggy Jean Butler (Dennard now). 

Jennifer was an LPN working in hospitals and in home care settings.  She also cared for her disabled daughter until the time of her death 4 years ago..

Jennifer is predeceased by her daughter, Brittany Faith Butler, and numerous other family members.  She is survived by her Father, Larry Wayne Butler of Williston, Fl,  Mother, Peggy Jean Dennard (Elvis Dennard) of Newberry, Fl, Brothers, Lance Wayne Butler of Williston, Fl, Fredrick Lee Butler of Newberry, Fl, Sisters, Taiylor Breonna Butler of Gainesville, FL and Regina Lee Butler of Starke, Fl along with numerous cousins, uncles and friends.

The family would like to thank her (and the family) very good friends Anne Cutter, Jessica Greeno and Nancy Johnson who were there for her and the family throughout her entire illness, along with thanks for the Shands ICU  units that cared for her.

  1. Jennifer, I can't tell you how sad I am at your loss. I know your struggled with the loss of your daughter. I will miss our long conversations and laughing. I have known you for over 15 + years. I am sad that I am just finding out when I had spoken too you a month or so before you passed. I wish I would of been notified so that I could have paid my respects and saw you one last time. I will greatly miss you my friend. You will live with in my memory and within my heart. I am heart broken. I just can't believe you are gone. I will say though Jen, your struggle is over and I am sure you are at peace and with your daughter whom I know you loved so deeply. I cherish our time together, I cherish you, I will forever save your voicemails and keep close your emails. I love you Jen…..Always. REST IN PEACE….
