Jerome Robert Cooksley passed away on the 8th of September 2024 at Haven hospice in Gainesville Fl. He was born in Evanston Illinois, on December 5, 1951. He was the Loving Husband of Sharon Kay Cooksley, and the amazing Father of Jon-David Brent Cooksley. He was also survived by his 4 brothers Mike, Billy, Danny, and David Cooksley, and multiple nieces and nephews.
Jerry was proud to call the historic town of Micanopy Florida his home for the past 40 years where he established a wide circle of friends that he cherished. He devoted his life to his wife and son. He owned his own Automotive repair shop, central auto repair. He also retired from the University of Florida as an HVAC mechanic. And he will be deeply missed by his family and all his friends.
