Jerry Pointon
January 28, 1943 ~ August 29, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jerry Pointon our "Pops" a proud veteran of United States Air Force. He passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife and best friend of 43 years at his side along with other family members. The son of Ralph and Dorothy Pointon, Jerry was born January 28th1943 in Baraboo Wisconsin as the youngest of four siblings. He was welcomed by his older brother Phillip (Phil) Pointon, Kay Wehrle and Julie Thompson. At the age of 17 Jerry developed a strong sense of duty and commitment and enlisted into the Airforce where he served honorably and proudly. In addition to being the other half of his wife's heart he was a father of seven, four sons, Shane Pointon of Florida, Melvin Pointon of Kentucky Thomas Cook of Florida, Travis Cook of Florida. He has three daughters, Giselle Robertson of Georgia, Troy Whelan of Florida and Terri Lyons of North Carolina. He has 15 grandchildren and 15 great, great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews countless other family members in and around Baraboo Wisconsin. No offense to anyone not mentioned by name, there is just way to many of us to list. However, his immediate family love and thank you all for your support during this heartbreaking time. He was sadly proceeded in death by his mom, dad and two sons Thomas Cook and Travis Cook. Until we ALL meet again "Pop" we are sending you on your journey on the wings of so much love!!! We miss you already!
