John Moore

John Thomas Moore, born November 29, 1982, passed away suddenly on August 18, 2025, at the age of 42. John was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and love to everyone around him.

He was the one his sisters could always call if the AC went out or if something complicated needed fixing around the house. He might have fussed about it, but honestly—who else were we supposed to call? He loved smoking meat and would often surprise friends and family with a plate of the most tender, perfectly seasoned ribs. He adored his nieces and nephews and lit up whenever he was around them or even when they were talked about. Family meant everything to John and he looked forward to building his own someday. In the last month of his life, he found some of his happiest days with Amy, with whom he had rekindled a special bond. Her close, loving family welcomed him with open arms.

John is survived by his parents Kathleen (Ron) Hoeft and Ron (Stephanie) Moore, siblings Bernadette (Jimmy), Colleen (David), Katie (Mark), BriAnna (Tyler), Kelly (Miles), and his nieces and nephews who he adored along with a great loving extended family including many step siblings, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his sister Jennifer as well as grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, the family will collect contributions to ensure the best care for John's 3 dogs and duck in their new loving homes.
