Johnny Paul Martin

May 14, 1955 ~ November 21, 2025

Born in: Gainesville, Florida
Resided in: Bell, Florida
Johnny Paul Martin, 70, of Newberry, FL, passed away on November 21, 2025 in Bell, FL, under the care of his son, Chad, and daughter in law, Kelly, who have gone above and beyond to provide him comfort and care.
Johnny was born in Gainesville, FL to Paul Augustus and Betty Lou Martin on May 14, 1955. He worked maintenance for the College of Dentistry at The University of Florida at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL where he later retired. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
In his spare time, Johnny enjoyed fishing and shooting firearms. He was also known for being extra hard on equipment so he spent lots of time “working” on his trucks only to have to repair them over again. Tinkering with his trucks, tractors and four wheelers gave him joy. He was known to be one to give the shirt off his back and always help others before thinking of himself.
Johnny is preceded in death by his Dad, Paul Martin, his Mom, Betty Martin and his Great Grandson, Kayson Gore. Johnny is survived by his sons; Paul (Mickey) Royer, Chad (Kelly) Martin, Travis (Jill) Martin, his brother, Thomas Martin, his sister Suzann (Dean) Stanley, his grandchildren, Michael, Kenneth, Yasmin, Chad II, Destinee, Shawna, William, David, Dale, Archie and Annaleigh and his great grandchildren, Daniel and Marleigh. He also leaves behind his two beloved dogs, Betsy and Lizzie, who brought him great joy, comfort and companionship.
Per Johnny’s wishes, cremation will be taking place and the family will hold a private gathering at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please take a moment to raise glass of ice cold Milwaukee in Johnny’s memory.

Crevasse’s Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Martin family.
