Bronson — Kristina M.(Knecht) Drouin, 60, of Bronson, FL, passed away unexpectedly May 20, 2022.
Kris was born April 30, 1962, to Edward and Donna (Onnen)Knecht. Raised in Leonore, IL,Kris graduated with high honors from Tonica High School in 1980 and later her bachelor’s degree from Santa Fe College in Health Services Administration which she utilized in her career as Food Service Director at Tacachale Developmental Disability Center. She was devoted to her work and gave of herself often making sure “her residents” had a wonderful homecooked traditional meal on holidays.
Kris was a very devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and “mere”.
Kris is survived by her spouse and long-time companion, Christian (Chef) Drouin, her beloved son, Ronald L. Smith, her step-daughter Genevieve Drouin, step-son Daniel Drouin and granddaughter Erricca, brother Donald (Enma) Knecht, sisters Carolyn (Albert) Morzuch, and Susan (Kenneth) Surratt as well adopted mom, Arlene Lang , several nieces, nephews, cousins,
and step children that were very close to her.
Kris enjoyed cruising, genealogy, fishing, playing canasta with her siblings, the Bears and Gator Football. She was charter member of the AmVet post #88 auxillary, past president of the Marine Corp League auxillary, and Eastern Star #44.
