Laura St. Martin

November 25, 1954 ~ November 9, 2023

Laura Lee St. Martin, 68, a longtime resident of Charlestown, NH, passed away on November 9,2023 at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital in Ocala, FL after suffering a sudden brain aneurysm.

Laura was born on November 25, 1954 in Meriden, CT, the daughter of Ernest and Marion (Post) Matt. In grade school and high school she enjoyed ballet lessons, where she advanced to performing en pointe. As a child, she enjoyed summers camping at Hammonasset State Park. She graduated in 1977 from Northeastern University with a degree in Physical Therapy. As a Physical Therapist with the Fall Mountain Regional School District for over fifteen years, Laura retired from what she considered to be her true calling of working with children in 2020.

Laura was a devoted wife, mother, and friend to all who knew her. She had a love for Christmas, angels, and sharing stories. Laura was especially proud of her role as Grandmother, having spent many years sharing her home with her only Grandchild, Braelynn. With a heart of gold, she continues to give of herself even in passing, as an organ donor to several recipients.

She is predeceased by her husband of 27 years, Peter St. Martin, who passed away from cancer at the age of 50; her mother, Marion Matt of Marlboro, VT; her brother Jeffrey and sister-in-law Michelle Matt, of Sanford, ME; sister-in-law Trudy Matt, of Marlboro VT; and her father and mother-in-law Arthur and Pauline St. Martin of Claremont.

Laura is survived by her three daughters, Katherine and son-in-law Bobby Sirk of Ocala, FL, Lacy St. Martin of Claremont, Elizabeth St. Martin and beloved granddaughter Braelynn Lee St. Martin of Charlestown; her father, Ernest Matt of Marlboro, VT; her great-Aunt, Barbara Hass of East Hampton, CT; two brothers, Thomas and his wife Debby Matt of Milford, NH, David Matt of Marlboro, VT; sister Sharon and husband Jeff Nelson of Perrysburg, OH; two brothers-in-law, David and wife Gail St. Martin of Evans, GA, James and wife Joyce St. Martin of Simpsonville, SC; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
