Laurence Edwin Hill, passed away peacefully on the morning of April 12th, 2023 at the age of 82. He is survived by his wife: Kimberly, one daughter: April, 3 sons: Larry Jr., Jared, and Brandon and 2 sisters: Bunny and Loraine.
Larry was born in Pontiac, Michigan from loving parents, Laurence and Velma Hill on the early morning of November 26th, 1940. He graduated the 8th grade and decided to join the military just one summer later where he served in the U.S. Army as an MP.
After that he transported and installed mobile homes until one tragically fell and crushed him forcing him to spend 2 years in a full body cast. After a truly miraculous comeback he became a truck driver, found Jesus and became a Jack of all trades, which included: neighborhood handyman, general mechanic, all-around fixer-upper, singer in multiple southern gospel quartets, loving husband and father. He touched and changed many lives throughout his years and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

I used to enjoy listening to Uncle Larry sing and I loved riding around in his Bus with him, when he'd come visit.
❤️
I love you dad. You are and forever will be in my heart. You are with family and Jesus now and I know without a doubt you are in no more pain, never will lose your voice, and have unlimited access to tools and musicians just like you always wanted. Love you
Honey, you are and will always be in my heart!! You are a wonderful husband for 23yrs, an awesome Dad to our boys, and your singing has touched so many! I'll never forget you and you will always be with me. I love you. – Brown Eyes
Well my dear brother I know you are much better off where you are but I sure miss you, you were one of a kind and the best brother and friend I could ever have. Maybe now God can answer all your questions about the Bible, keep singing and save me a place. Until we meet again rest in God's arms. You will always be in my heart.❤️
Larry you brought music and joy into so many lives and we will miss you here, but one day we will all be together in Heaven, praising God forever. Until then, we will cherish the memories and keep the faith.
Hey, Dad, just wanna let you know I miss you and I'm thinking about you. Not a day passes where I don't notice something that makes me think of a memory with you and realize how much I learned from you. You were the best Dad I could have ever asked for and I will miss you dearly. Hope you're having fun in heaven with no more pain, all your lost family and friends, and all the tools you could ever ask for. I love you and I'll see you after a while.
Dad,
Not a day goes by that you dont cross my mind. I been fishing alot recently. Alot of life lessons you taught me are still with me to this day. I know you have plenty of clear waters and big catfish up there. If you find time, send them down my way!
I miss you so much Dad. Sometimes when out fishing Ill start singing some of the songs we used to sing. I dont sound as good as you of course, but it makes me smile.
I love you so much. You would be so proud of us and especially mom! Jared touched your tools, wasnt me!
Love you dad! Till I am with you, keep guiding me each day to be a better man!
Hard to believe its been 6 months since the Lord called you home. Not a day goes by where you dont cross my mind. You would be so proud of all of us. Mom is keeping everything going as usual and you would be so proud of her. Everyday I have you around my neck and it reminds me to be strong and put one foot in front of the other.
I cant wait till the day I get to see you and catch up on everything you been doing. I know you prolly have your own band up there and prolly been keeping your hands dirty as usual. I truly hope you have found time to relax in the presence of our Lord.
Keep watching over us. I know your hand is on me and Mom.
I love and miss you Dad!
Merry Christmas Dad! I miss you so much around the holidays, but I know you are with me and that helps so much ♥️
I hope you have the best Christmas ever and I love you 🎄♥️
Hey Dad! I know we talk practically everyday but wanted to pop on here and let you know I love you and miss you more than ever! Finally got your guitar fixed up. I need to get a new plate put on it but other than that it works! Maybe as I get older, I'll learn how to play it. I think thats what I will do! Valentines day is coming up, going to get mom something from the both of us so dont worry!
Keep looking down on me. Some days I feel weak and tired but you help me push through. Thanks for keeping your hand on us down here. Love you Dad!
Dad
1 year… Time really does fly by doesn't it?
Feels like yesterday you were teaching me how to ride my dirtbike or how to put a work on a hook… But also feels like just yesterday the lord called you home.. Mixed feelings around this time..
Mom is doing great still. She's strong and holding the house together. I'm staying on top of her about her health and well being, I know that's the most important.
Everyone has been seeing a red cardinal lately. From Florida, to Maryland, to Michigan. I know it's not you but I thank the lord he is giving all of us some comfort during these days. I think about you a lot. Never will stop dad.
I love you and I simply just want to say.. Thank you ♥️
