Lonnie Gerald Honeycutt, 73, of Hawthorne, FL passed away on January 16th with his Wife and Son by his side.
Lonnie was born in Tennessee and moved to the Alachua area in the early 1950’s where he would attend Santa Fe High School. He married Mary Bullard in 1969 and they had their only son, Wayne in 1970. Throughout his life, Lonnie enjoyed dirt track racing, fishing, nascar and spending time with family and friends at the Ole Barn. In retirement he enjoyed going to Biloxi with his wife and making trips to the mountains.
Lonnie is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary, and his son Wayne (Brittany) and granddaughter Sydney. He is also survived by his brother Bethel.
Lonnie requested no funeral service but instead a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Lonnie was a great sou.l and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
I knew Lonnie since the early 90's. I would see him often at the ole barn. A great guy. He will be missed.
