Lorna Marie (Treen) Carnahan, 68, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2021. Born on September 27, 1952, in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, Canada to Alf and Claire Treen. Lorna was a very active athlete in school, competing in the Antigonish Highland Games (Track & Field) in 1965 (Nova Scotia). The Treen family moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1966. She attended Terry Parker High School. She was employed at the Modis Employment Agency in the Human Resources Department. Lorna was a very sweet, caring, and compassionate person, finding the good in people, even when others didn’t see it.
Lorna is survived by her husband, of over 40 years, Jimmy Carnahan. She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, April Amoroso (Jim) Warrick of Murfreesboro, TN and Tammy Amoroso (Frank) Tomassacci of Reading PA, and her son, Wesley Carnahan of Jacksonville, FL; Robbie Swanson of Jacksonville FL . She leaves behind her nine grandchildren; her mother, Claire Treen of Whitby, ON; her sisters: Roberta Treen, Vero Beach, FL; Cyndi (Steve) Bird, Oshawa, ON; Anita Treen (Murray Cosier) of Campbellford, ON; and Bonnie (Jim) Ogle of Oshawa, ON. Lorna also leaves behind her best friend Paula Mitchell, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Lorna is predeceased by her father, Alf Treen.
In lieu of flowers, the family request a charitable donation in her honor to your local Alzheimer’s Association or your favorite charity.

My heart breaks that you are really gone. My heart breaks for your children and their families. My heart breaks for our mom and our sisters and their families. Let her memories surround you in love and peace.
