Lorraine Labar Evans, 82, born Lorraine Imnel La Bar in October 1940, was the daughter of Joseph Clifford La Bar and Dorothy Imnel Maxwell. She passed away in Gainesville, FL on 12/27/22.
Lorraine was a proud and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Joseph Carl Turnbull, and her husband Earl Evans. She is survived by her daughter Janine Melinda Simonotto, her son James (Jimmy) Kevin Turnbull, their spouses, her grandchildren Shelby, James and Joseph and her great-grandson Rocky.
Lorraine life was simple. She loved her family dearly. While family was always the focus of her life, she was also an animal lover, an enthusiastic owner of cats and a passionate horse owner and rider.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a memorial donation be made to Palm Garden of Gainesville, 2027 SW 62nd Blvd, Gainesville, FL, 32607 (in the memo section, please add Lorraine’s full name).

I'm sorry to hear about your mother, my condolance Janine. She passed away but she will live forever in your heart and in your mind. You will reflect her life teaching in your actions, in your thoughts and in your best moments with your nephew. A great hug
