Broadway, Louis Cary (Lou) Jr., age 73 of Sanford, FL, died March 25, 2025.
Lou was born in Eustis, Florida, on March 23, 1952, to parents Louis (Shorty) C. Broadway, Sr. and Doris Black Broadway. Lou attended school in Eustis and upon completion, he served in the U. S. Army. He then made his career in air conditioning and heating service and owned his own business, Broadway Services, for 26 years.
Lou was preceded in death by his mom and dad and his sister, Jeanette Schofield. Lou is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Barbara Broadway; his daughters, Alicia (Chris) Weathington and Katie (Gary) Huff; six grandchildren Owen, Conner, Michael, Dorothy, Addison, and Autumn; his brothers Garen (Rita) Broadway and Lee (Lynn) Broadway; as well as many nieces and nephews. His love of family extended to his brothers- and sisters-in-law, who he counted as friends, as well as family.
Lou enjoyed fishing, tinkering with any kind of engine or motor, and learning new skills on YouTube. Although he was an inventor of special equipment used in his profession, he never bothered to patent any of them. Lou loved animals, especially Auggie, Harley, and Wesley, and he spent many hours watching National Geographic. He was a long time member of Grace United Methodist Church (now Grace Church) and served on various committees. His was a life of service to his Lord, his country, and his profession.
