Lynda Jo (French) McAfee

Lynda Jo (French) McAfee, 77, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away on March 30, 2025, surrounded by loving family.

Lynda was born and raised in Battle Creek, Michigan, the daughter of Eileen (Piper) French and George French.
 
Lynda graduated from Harper Creek HS in 1966, then went on to earn a degree in Art Practice from Michigan State University in 1969.

Lynda married Timothy George McAfee on August 16, 1969 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Battle Creek, Michigan. They were married until her beloved Tim's passing 38 years later on May 19, 2007.

Lynda worked as an art teacher for the US Dept. of Defense, St. Philip Catholic Central HS in Battle Creek, Michigan, and Port Salerno Elementary in Stuart, Florida.

Lynda loved to teach, paint, decorate, and travel. She enjoyed all art forms and the beauty of nature.

Remaining to cherish Lynda's memory are her brother, George French II; children, Scott McAfee, Hank McAfee, and Mark McAfee; grandchildren, Jonathan McAfee, Logan Russell, and Fiona McAfee; and great-grandchild, Bryson McAfee.
 
Preceding Lynda in death were her husband, Tim McAfee; parents, George and Eileen French; and brother, Richard French.
