Michael Alan Ruggles, 63 of Bell, Florida passed away on Friday July 29th, 2022 at North Florida Regional Hospital after spending his final days surrounded by his loved ones.
Michael was born in Greenup County, Kentucky on August 6th, 1958 to Benjamin Oliver, Sr and Rosetta Ellen (Wright) Ruggles. He moved his children to Gilchrist County in 1994, where he worked in various jobs from the dairy to pine straw industry, but spending the last years of his working life driving a dump truck for a couple local companies. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting for arrowheads everywhere he went with his eyes to the ground and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters: Christina (Timothy) Teague of Trenton, FL; Rachel (Ken) Mobley of Chiefland, FL and his son: Chris (Amber) Ruggles of Bell, FL. His Seven grandchildren: Chelsea (Julio) Morgado, Kimberly & William Teague, Kaden & Nathan Mobley, Maebry & Emmalee Ruggles, and great grand-daughter: Serafina Morgado.
He is also survived by his mother, Rosetta of Elkin, NC. Four Sisters: Gracie Jewell of Ohio; Tammy Ruggles of Dunn, NC; Rosetta (Wesley) Young of Purlear, NC and Loretta Ennis of Elkin, NC. Five Brothers: Ben Jr. (Delores) Ruggles of Dunn, NC; Chester (Margaret) Ruggles of Bell, FL; Tim (Jennifer) Ruggles of Dunn, NC; Matt Ruggles of Coats, NC and Todd (Barbara) Ruggles of Clinton, NC; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family is planning a future time to commit his ashes in his home state of Kentucky.
