Michael Lloyd Taylor passed away on June 19, 2023 in Jacksonville, Florida surrounded by his loving family. Mike was the young age of 67. He loved life, enjoying every moment. Mike was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia to Harold and Ruby Taylor. He grew up playing football, baseball and roaming the neighborhood making friends he would keep for a lifetime. He attended Baker High School and worked at his dads car lot as a salesman. Soon thereafter, he moved to Jacksonville with his family and worked at the family business, Taylor Diesel Service for the next 9 years. He was then hired at Diesel Powerhouse where he has worked for the last 14 years. Mike loved his job and always had a special bond with all of his customers. Mike loved to do many things. Scuba diving was one of his passions. Here, he earned the Master Scuba Diver Instructor designation, and taught many students how to dive in many springs, caverns and ocean reefs in Florida. He also cherished his time spent with his best friends on the lake bass fishing. More recently, Mike became a member of the iRracing team and was one of their top racers, always a favorite to win the pole position. He was also an avid Nascar and Atlanta Falcons Fan.
He is survived by his two sisters Dyann and Donna, his nieces Kelly (John), Jayme and Halle, and his nephews Daniel and Tyler, his great niece Ruby and his great nephews Ricky and Breyden.
Mike worked hard, He played hard, He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
