Mrs. Monte Epling

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Monte Kaye Epling on December 12th, 2022, at the age of 85. Born on May 2nd, 1937, in Topeka, Kansas, Monte was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

Kaye was married to Marvin Eugene Epling, the love of her life, for over 50 years. Together, they raised four children, Theresa Towner, Mark Epling, Leigh Ann Deeter, and Patrick Epling. She welcomed 11 grandchildren into the world.

Kaye was known for her maternal nature and her ability to make everyone feel special. She was a beautiful and glamorous woman who loved playing tennis and doting on her grandchildren. She was also a talented seamstress, known for sewing handmade Halloween costumes and making the best grilled cheese sandwiches.

In addition to her many talents, Kaye and Marvin were excellent dancers, and music often brought Kaye joy and comfort in her final years. Despite being diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's disease, which progressed over the course of 20 years, Kaye remained physically healthy until suffering a broken hip six months ago. In the end we are grateful that she is now at peace and reunited with her husband.

We are grateful for her strength, resilience, and bravery in the face of her illness. Kaye’s loving presence and kind nature were celebrated by all who knew and loved her, and her memory will live on in our hearts forever.
