Ned Beatty

In loving memory, JAMES NED BEATTY, 45, passed away 24th of September 2021 at his residence in Jacksonville, FL. Ned was born 4th December 1975 in Anchorage, Alaska to James and Cheryl Beatty. While growing up Ned was very active in Boy Scouts and skateboarding. He enjoyed helping and protecting others by being a Certified Ropes Instructor, Red Cross Lifeguard, and a Camp Counselor. Ned was a proud graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction from the M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management in 2003. He spent many successful years in the construction industry as a Project Manager and Business Owner. Several of those years were spent with Paul Davis Restoration of North Florida as a respected Restoration Project Manager. Ned enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, cooking, riding ATV’s, camping, and helping others every available chance. He was loved and admired by many for his great qualities of leadership, integrity, and thoughtfulness.  Once you met Nedly, you gained an irreplaceable friend. He had an infectious laugh and smile that was admired by all. He truly was one of a kind. 

Ned is survived by two wonderful children, Jessica Machin, 25 and Simon Beatty 15, his former wife Marta Gonzalez Beatty, his parents James F Beatty, II and Bonnie Cheryl Coppedge Beatty, his brother Eric Beatty, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Ned was predeceased by his grandparents James F and Norma Beatty, grandmother Bonnie Havens, and aunt Lynne Beatty Love.
