Norman Lee Paeth

June 4, 2018

“Biz” Norman Lee Paeth, 71, of Cedar Key, FL went home to be with the Lord on June 4, 2018, surrounded by his wife, sons, and best friend of 65 years.  He was born on Dec. 20, 1946 in Fremont, OH to Norman and Genevieve (Widman) Paeth, they preceded him in death.

Biz will lovingly be remembered by his wife, Sherry Beauchamp, sons, Matt (Rachell) Paeth, Mark (Cheryl) Paeth, Mike (Beth) Paeth, and sister, Marian (David) Zimmerman. Grandchildren left to cherish his memory are Matthew, Hannah, Taylor, Karly, Kendra, Alayna, Sammy, and Brennan Paeth.  Also special to Biz were his step-sons, Jim (Randi) Beauchamp, Clint (Stacey) Beauchamp, Jake (Tara) Beauchamp, and their children, Tenlee, Mollee, Annabelle, Gracie, Grant, Brantley, Holden, and Jaci Beauchamp.

Biz graduated from Fremont St. Joseph Central Catholic High School in 1964 and went on to receive his bachelors of education degree from Tampa University.  His coaching and teaching career spanned over 40 years and included positions at Tuscarawas Central Catholic, Sandusky St. Mary’s, Fremont Ross, and Cedar Key High School.  He had the privilege of returning to his alma mater, Fremont St. Joseph Central Catholic, where he was the boys’ varsity basketball coach, athletic director, and assistant principal.

Family and faith were important to Biz.  He cherished special trips with his children and grandchildren.  He attended Christ Episcopal Church on Cedar Key where he was a reader and greeter.  Biz volunteered his time at the local food bank on the island.  Other loves included basketball, the Cleveland Indians, Jimmy Buffett, Frank Sinatra, traveling, his vibrant cottage on the Sandusky River, and having a drink on the deck of his pink house on the Gulf of Mexico.

Memorials may be made to Haven Hospice of Chiefland.
