Normand Benoit

Normand A Benoit age 97 passed away peacefully Sunday August 24th 2025. born on May 15th 1928 in Plainfield CT to the late Levi Benoit and Beatrice Royer Benoit. Normand was the eldest of 4 children and one step brother.

Normand lived and worked in Southbridge MA for many years. He was the owner operator of Southbridge Trucking Company and later the VP of Rayno Inc. He loved to flip houses, fix old Gravely tractors,and garden. He retired early and traveled between Maine and Florida. Eventually settling in Live Oak.
Normand was a veteran of the USMC.


He is survived by his daughters Laurie Benoit Murphy (Robert) ,June Baldinelli (Joe) and Jodie Kirk. 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.And his youngest brother Raymond Benoit.


He was predeceased in death by his wife of 74 years Blanche Benoit and his daughter Julie Delucia. His parents Levi and Beatrice Benoit and his siblings Conrad Benoit, Aline Beaudry, Murielle Ayotte, Normand was also predeceased by his granddaughters Molly Mach and Dannielle Benoit and his son-in-law Michael Kirk.

  3. Norm and I were both Prudential Ins Co retirees and Southbridge Trucking Co owners and Friends for most of our life, I will miss his visits, he and Blanche stopped by and spent time with me and Rita every time they came up north.

  4. Norman, was such a precious soul, i am so glad I got to meet him. I loved to hear him talk about his family, and also talk about his life. He loved meeting new people and talking to everyone he met! He was the type of person that you could listen to his stories all day! He was one of my favorite customers, he will be missed, and I'll never forget him, he was a special man! 😞
