Ollie Keen AKA “Nanny”, age 91, passed away February 27, 2026 in Gainesville, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Norman Keen, her parents Leah Fuller and Arch Fuller, her three brothers, Hubert Fuller, Herman Fuller, Carl Fuller and three sisters, Elsie Keen, Alta Horn and Barbara Smothers.
Ollie was the beloved mother of two daughters, Pamela Keen of Gainesville, Florida, and Robin West of St. Augustine, Florida. She was grandmother to two grandsons and their wives, Seth West (Miranda Fuller) of Nashville, Tennessee, and Dustin West (Lexi Stout) of Jupiter, Florida.
She is survived by her sister, Adele Keen of Oakwood, Virginia and several loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was one of the first female coal miners at Seaboard Coal Company in Cedar Bluff, Virginia. She later worked as a server at Dairy Queen in Palatka, Florida, and as a greeter at the Walmart Supercenter in Palatka.
Ollie was a happy, outgoing person who loved being around people, especially enjoyed entertaining during the holidays and was well known for her cornbread stuffing and German chocolate cake.
She lived well, laughed a lot, and loved her family deeply.
Nanny will forever remain in our hearts.
