Paul Elton Middleton

Paul Elton Middleton, 75, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, surrounded by family. Born on August 23, 1949, in Mason City, Iowa, Paul lived a life marked by dedication, integrity, and deep love for his family.

A gifted mind and passionate problem-solver, Paul spent 28 years as a computer engineer, contributing his talents to both Texas Instruments and Hewlett-Packard. Throughout his career, he played a vital role in advancing the field of computer engineering, and he was known among colleagues for his meticulous attention to detail and unwavering work ethic.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Betty Middleton, whose partnership was the cornerstone of his life. Together, they built a family rooted in love and support. He is also survived by his two children, Patrick Middleton and Jacquelyn (Joshua) Priebe. 

Paul was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren: Cailyn (Aaron) Chizmar, Corryn (Zach) Rahe, Nathan Priebe, Alyssa Rowan, Elisha (Caleb) Johnson, Drew (Whitney) Rowan, Elaina Priebe, Noelle Priebe, and Nataly Priebe. His joy multiplied with the arrival of four great-grandchildren: Rowan Masteller, Liam Chizmar, Benjamin Chizmar, and Eloise Rahe.

Paul will be remembered for his love of technology and learning, and the deep devotion he showed to his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the generations he helped shape.
