Peter Dautel, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was born on August 17, 1953, and passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Peter is survived by his devoted wife, Sara Dautel; his sons, Ryan Dautel and Travis Dautel; his daughters, Madilynn Dautel, Elizabeth Dautel, and Nicole Shalit; and his cherished granddaughters, Joni and Ava Shalit. He is also survived by his brother, Steven Dautel.

Peter will be remembered for his sharp wit, adventurous spirit, and unwavering faith. He had a great sense of humor and a deep love for his family. He found purpose and connection through his church community and was passionate about piloting planes, skiing, road biking, skydiving, and sharing life’s adventures with those he loved most.

Peter’s legacy lives on in the warmth he shared, the strength of his convictions, and his belief in living fast and never settling. His memory will be forever cherished.
