Peter F. Carroll

June 1, 2025

Peter F. Carroll, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and proud Navy veteran, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida, at the age of 86.

Born in Philadelphia in 1939, Peter later moved to Miami, Florida, where he graduated from Edison High School. After graduation, he honorably served his country in the United States Navy. Upon completing his service, he returned to Miami and began working with Eastern Airlines. This is where he met his beautiful wife of 59 years. Determined to build a strong future, Peter used the GI Bill to earn both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting, eventually becoming a Certified Public Accountant.

Peter's career was defined by dedication and leadership. He served as Chief Financial Officer for FPL Credit Union and held key financial positions at several other institutions before retiring at the age of 75.

Peter was known for his strong work ethic, quiet wisdom, and kind heart. He had a deep passion for fishing, exploring the U.S. and Europe, and especially loved riverboat cruises. A devout Catholic, he was a faithful member of the Church and, with his beloved wife Carmella, was an active member of the Italian American Club for many years.

Above all, Peter was a family man, his greatest pride and joy was his family. He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Carmella; his daughters Teresa Carroll, Debra Carroll-Rebhan (Charles), and Maryfrances Krauss (Shane); and his treasured grandchildren: Ayden Rebhan, Brody Rebhan, Ryan Glick, Annalyse Krauss, and Harper Krauss. He will be remembered for the love, strength, and unwavering support he gave his family.

Please contact the family for details of the upcoming services they are holding. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association, Alzheimer's Foundation of America, or the Dementia Society of America.

Crevasse's Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Carroll family.
