Robert "Bob" Wallace Controne, 81, of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away on October 14, 2023, in St. Augustine, Florida. He was born on June 15, 1942, in Yonkers, NY.

Bob was a compassionate, forgiving, and loving individual. He was known for his selflessness and strong sense of patriotism. Bob was a hard worker and could be described as a jack of all things, always willing to lend a helping hand.

In his career, Bob worked as a Truck Driver at Baldwin Transportation and later as a Bus Driver at Briarcliff Bus Company. He was dedicated to his work and took pride in providing safe transportation to others.

Outside of work, Bob had a passion for playing pool and was an avid player with multiple tournament wins to his name. He also enjoyed sports during his high school years, participating in baseball, football, and basketball and received multiple awards for excellence.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy, his daughter Lisa, his son Robert, and his daughter Jennifer. He is also survived by his three brothers, Jack, Andrew and Edward, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He cherished his family and was a pillar of support for them throughout his life.

    God gave us a long time together, but I still miss you and wish we could have had even more. Mom and Dad taught us the importance of family and we took that seriously and you, me, Andy and Eddie always stayed in touch, always supported each other and we brought that same thing to our families.

  7. I worked with Bob at Briarcliff Bus for many years.  He always had great stories to tell, and was a good friend.  
    May he rest in peace, and my condolences to his family.

  13. Grandpa Dean, Juliana, my mom and I miss you everyday. Even though I didn’t get to see you much I still love you and I always will. I know I’m writing this a little late but I just found out about this website. Every soccer game, every basketball game, every workout to get stronger is because of you I do it for you and I always will what makes you stronger is knowing that you will always have someone with you "butter ball."
