Robert Lee Hackney Sr. 69 of Florahome gained his wings on 4/8/2024 at NFRM under the care of Haven Hospice. Robert was surrounded by his loving family.
He was an awesome motorcycle mechanic. There wasn’t a motorcycle or ATV that he couldn’t fix. Often times local bike shops would bring the bikes they couldn’t fix to him. He could diagnosis the problem just by listening to the engine. He loved his sci-fi and history channels. He loved space movies and shows especially Star Trek and the “Bird of Prey”. He would often say that the “Bird of Prey is coming to take me away.” He loved his family more than anything.
He is preceded in death by his parents Homer and Edith Hackney. Sisters Betty and Jean Ann and brother Everette and his favorite Aunt Faye.
He was an amazing father (Pops) to his children and Papa to his grandchildren. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children: Robert Hackney Jr (Andrea), Rebecca Hackney, Holly Hackney, Jazmyne Medley, and Huntavian Medley. His grandchildren: Lily, Azalia, Nevaeh, Huntavian Jr., Amelia, and Dontavian Robert Lee. The mother of his children Angela Hackney. Two brothers Jerry and Okey Hackney. And Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dear Hackney Family,
I am so sorry to hear about Dad's passing. It is so incredibly difficult to lose a dear loved one. I hope and pray you find peace and comfort in each other and those who have experienced similar losses in their lives. May the best memories wrap around you allowing you to feel his presence.

To my family I care and love so deeply, I'm so very sorry for yalls loss. Losing someone you love is the hardest thing to ever go through in life. You all have each other, being there for one another is all yall can do right now and carry on the memories. One day some of us will all meet again.
