Robert Philip Jerome, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and skilled carpenter, passed away peacefully on 06/30/2025 at the age of 88. Robert was born on February 17, 1937, and lived a life filled with dedication, craftsmanship, and love for his family.
A master carpenter by trade, Robert spent 27 years as the carpenter at Alachua General Hospital, where he earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues and peers. His meticulous attention to detail and his unwavering work ethic became hallmarks of his long and distinguished career.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Robert was an avid woodworker in his personal life, often creating beautiful, handcrafted pieces that will be cherished for years to come. His passion for woodworking was not just a hobby but a way for him to express his creativity and love for the craft.
Robert was also an enthusiastic collector, with a particular love for stamps and coins. His collection, built over many years, is a testament to his curiosity, patience, and appreciation for the past.
Robert is survived by his wife, Nancy; his three children; his six grandchildren; and his ten great grandchildren. Robert’s legacy of dedication, and craftsmanship will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
