Roger Edgar Allain,Sr.

Roger Edgar Allain Sr., 75, passed away on August 25, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born on June 7, 1946 in Canta Lima, Peru to Pedro Rojas Allain and Nieves Aniceta, Marquez de Allain. Roger immigrated from Peru to the United States and spent most of his early years in New Jersey before settling in Florida.

 

Roger is predeceased by both of his parents and his daughter Jennifer Allain Scadding. He is survived by his five children: Roger Allain Jr., Peter Allain (Tammy), Jessica Allain Matthews (Teddy), Ronald Allain, and Jane Allain Young (Ricky). He is also survived by five siblings: Pedro Allain, Nancy Allain de Marandola, Magda Allain de Rivera, Hercilia Allain de Caceres, and Soledad Allain. Roger was blessed with 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who all loved him dearly.

 

Roger worked for many years at Goodyear Tire in New Jersey before leaving to take on multiple entrepreneurial ventures. He was very involved in the Hispanic community, local government, and sports activities. Roger is known for his sense of humor and easy going personality. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, grandpa, and friend. He was great with babies and was known to be the best at “walking the floor” whenever a baby started crying. Roger will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
