Rosezella Moore

Rosezella Faye Moore passed away on October 31, 2024, at the age of 83. Rosezella was born November 22, 1940, in Lincoln, West Virginia. She was one of eight children and spoke fondly of her many memories growing up with all her siblings.

 

In her adult life Rosezella had many unique jobs such as a car hop, candy sorter, and school bus driver/instructor. As a bus driver she received many awards for her safe driving and care while driving a bus for children with special needs. She found joy helping others and worked for many years in a Community Ministry (GCM) and was at one time the president of the local UMW.

 

In her personal life she was a loving wife, mother , and grandmother. She was married to Harvey Moore, the love her life for 45 years, and together they raised 10 children. Rosezella and Harvey enjoyed traveling the country and visiting family along the way. They were a shining example of love for younger generations.

 

As a mother and grandmother Rosezella was loving and supporting. She was always available to lend an ear or give advice. She came to every event she was able to and loved to tell anyone who would listen about her beloved grandchildren and their accomplishments.

 

Rosezella is preceded in death by her parents Hurston and Nancy Steele, her husband Harvey F. Moore, sons Ronald Anderson Jr. and Kenneth Diamond, and siblings Jim Steele, Phyllis Osborn, Paul Steele, Stella Steele, and Nelly Steele. She leaves behind her children Lynn Diamond, Larry Diamond (Becky), Rhonda Hunter (Scott), Brittney Spicer (Curtis), Julie Brewer (Bobby), Karen Cox (John), Linda Holcombe (Mark), and Diane Holbrook (Ron), and her brothers Delbert and Robert Steele, and 27 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.
