She attended Immanuel Lutheran School in Lakefield grades 1-8. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith on May 8, 1966, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lakefield, Minnesota, by pastor Carl T. Wuerffel. Her confirmation verse was 1 Corinthians 6:20. She graduated from Lakefield High School on May 30, 1970, and attended Concordia University, St. Paul, Minnesota, for 2 years.
Roxanne married David E. Aasved on September 2, 1972, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lakefield. She and David lived in St. Paul, Minnesota, until David graduated from Concordia University. They then moved to Springfield, Illinois, in 1974 for David to attend Concordia University. In 1975 they had a son, Daniel Aasved, and moved to Sebastapol, California, and stayed with his parents for several months until his vicarage started in Golden Valley, Minnesota, at Golden Valley Lutheran Church. In 1977 they moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana, for David to finish his Masters in Theology at Concordia Seminary. On their trip to Sebastapol, California, for his ordination into the ministry and to visit his family, David was murdered in Tooella, Utah.
Roxanne and her son moved to Gainesville, Florida, and she entered classes at Santa Fe College and graduated from the LPN program in 1981.
She marred John A. Cline, Jr. in 1981. They enjoyed doing genealogy research on their families and traveling in the United States. John died in 2009 from Parkinson’s Disease with dementia. Roxanne worked full time and cared for John full time the 6 years he was ill. She worked at Shands Hospital, for several doctors in Gainesville, and for 15 years at Tacachale before she retired.
Faith and family were very important to her, and she enjoyed genealogy and traveling. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority since 1978.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son, Daniel (Stacey) Aasved, granddaughters, Talla and Bria Aasved, and siblings Barb Klingberg, Clarice (Ed) Ahner, Allen Steffen, Mark (Kay) Steffen, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.






Roxanne was my sister by another mother. We fought like sisters and defended like sisters for 68 years. Blessed be the memory of my dear friend.
