Sandra Hickam Kell, 73, of Abbeville, SC, passed away unexpectedly on January 29th, 2024.
Sandra was born on February 14, 1950 to Helen and Hubert Hickam in Booneville Missouri. Sandra graduated from Central Gwinnett High School (Georgia) in 1968 and later married Jerry Patterson. They blessed this world with two sons- Clayton and Ryan Patterson.
Sandra balanced motherhood with a career in financials. She married David Kell on January 1, 1983 and they later welcomed two daughters- Megan Kell and Erin Kell Gambrell. Our mother had some battles of her own but taught her daughters to be confident and determined as they navigate this dynamic, yet interesting life. She will be remembered for having the most joyous and contagious laugh.
She enjoyed adventures, shopping, spending time with her grandson, and good movies. Our mother also enjoyed wrapping gifts and contributing to the Christmas Angel Tree of Abbeville, SC. We are forever grateful for the time we did have to learn from, talk to, and experience life with- she was an amazingly articulate and fun loving woman.
Sandra was predeceased by her Father and Mother: Hubert & Helen Hickam. She is survived by her brother Harold (Wynn) Hickam, sister Janet Meuse, son Clayton Patterson, son Ryan (Ashley) Patterson, daughter Megan Kell (David), daughter Erin (Matt) Gambrell, grandsons Donovan Patterson, Peyton Patterson, Sebastian Gambrell, and granddaughter Avery Patterson.
