Resided in: Jacksonville, FL

Scott Leroy Rhoades, a beloved son, brother, and father, passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 61. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Scott lived a life that was full of love, laughter, and adventure. Scott’s greatest joy was making others laugh, and he had a gift for bringing people together with his infectious sense of humor. He was a simple man with a heart of gold, and his love for his family and friends was evident in everything he did. Scott was a talented cook and attended the Orlando Culinary Academy to hone his skills. He loved to share his culinary creations with those around him, and his family and friends were always treated to delicious meals. When he wasn’t cooking, Scott could be found on the water, reeling in the big ones as an avid saltwater fisherman. He was also a skilled welder and underwater welder, and he took great pride in his work.

Scott is survived by his children, Alexis Loper and Bradley Rhoades; his grandchildren, Ashlynn Loper, Aubrie Loper, Addison Loper, and Chase Rhoades; siblings, Brian Rhoades, Karen Rhoades, Kathy Lyell, Kelly Holbrooks, and Lynn Parkin; and many loved ones who will miss him dearly.

As we celebrate Scott’s life, we remember his kind heart, his generous spirit, and his ability to make us all laugh. He may have lived a simple life, but he left a lasting impact on those who knew him.

Rest in peace, Scott. Your memory will live on in our hearts.

Crevasse’s Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Rhoades family.
