His teens & 20’s were spent living the Miami lifestyle, having the time of his life; where he fondly spoke of memories about his “Cutler Ridge Crew”. He met his first wife, Andrea in Miami and they gave birth to his beloved daughter Taylor, who he always said “was the best thing he ever did.” His 30’s were a series of ups and downs that he managed to fight his way back from and in his 40’s he put his life back together in the tiny fishing village of Steinhatchee, FL where he met his current wife, Tammi. Over the years he wore many hats including; entrepreneur, chef, and a handyman—always finding joy in hard work and helping others. Shawn enjoyed spending time at the casino and buying scratch-offs to try his luck at winning it big. He also held a special place in his heart for his beloved pets, Pepper, Coco, and Pixie.
On November 8th, 2013, Shawn married the love of his life, Tammara "Tammi" Austin Butterfield. They were a pair of complete opposites but they managed to build a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments.

Shawn’s kindness, humor, and hard-working spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
