Sherry Stinson,61, of Alachua, Florida passed away on October 19, 2023.
Sherry was born in Jacksonville, Florida and grew up in Hawthorne, Florida. She graduated from Hawthorne High school and the attended Santa Fe Police Academy. She became one of the first female certified Police officers to work for the Gainesville Police Department. After leaving the Police Department she worked for G W Robinson Homes and then worked as a Project Assistant for CHW until her passing. Sherry loved Gator Football and had more knowledge than most Coaches of the game. Sherry was also very passionate about animals. She volunteered and advocated for animal rights.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents John and Gudny Kristina Vojnovski, her husband of 33 years Dennis Stinson, her replacement Father Kyle Ridaught Sr, her brother Jim Vojnovski and her stepson Scott Stinson.
She is survived by her son John Valdes and wife Dena, stepson Gene Stinson, her replacement Mother Pat Ridaught Walker and her husband Charlie Walker, her brother Kyle "Rowdy" Ridaught Jr, her sister Ronda Ridaught Bourn and her husband John, and her dear friend Bill Werther.
