Steven Cook

Steven Lynn Cook, 66, of Old Town, FL, (formerly of Akron, OH) died September 27, 2021, in Gainesville, FL at the North Florida Regional Medical Center. He died from complications of COVID Pneumonia.

Steven Cook was born September 15, 1955, in Topeka, Kansas to Mark and Bess (Bazor) Cook.

He never met a stranger. He traveled all over the United States. He will be remembered for his incredible sense of humor and unmatched story telling abilities.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mark and Bess Cook.

He is survived by his brother, Bob Cook (Jean Rochester) of Fredricksburg, OH, His twin sisters Susan (Barry) Deming of Perry, OH, and Mary (Dave)Kuzy of Naperville, IL.

He is also survived by three nieces and three nephews. Carrie (Will) Latt of Dayton, Ohio, Mark Cook of Akron, OH. Steven (Emily) Kuzy of San Jose, CA. Mary Deming (Sam Pittman) of Salt Lake City, Utah. Brian (Stephanie) Deming of Chardon, OH and Sarah Kuzy of Seattle, WA. He had no children but loved his nieces and nephews as his own. He is also survived by several close cousins.

He had many life-long friends who will miss him eternally.

  3. Dear Susan, Mary and Bob. Thank you so much for your invitation to Steve's services and reception. I was planning to attend but in the last week our family was exposed to the covid virus and my husband contracted it. I did not get it. I was fully vaccinated. I want you to know Steve and I kept in touch. Our friendship was very special and I always wanted things to go well for him. He will always have a special place in my heart. God bless all of you
