Born in: Bloomington, Illinois
Resided in: Ocala, Florida

Steven Guy Reynolds, 76, passed away on January 11, 2026 at his home in Ocala, Florida. He was born in Bloomington, Illinois on December 16, 1949 to Albert Herman Reynolds and Katherine M. Marksteiner. He graduated from Melvin-Sibley High School in 1968 and went to trade school at GE and worked as a tool and die moldmaker for most of his life. He later went on to open his own handyman business. Steve married Brenda Sue Keiper on February 8, 1969 and they had three children. They moved to Florida in 1983. Steve enjoyed woodworking in his shop at home, fishing, and watching football. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Steve ministered to inmates at the county jail for 25 years, and also volunteered with his wife weekly at the Brother’s Keeper thrift store. He was Roman Catholic and his faith defined his character. He was especially compassionate toward the needy and less fortunate.

Steve is survived by his wife of 56 years, Brenda Reynolds, his children, Scott (Olina) Reynolds, Kevin (Pam) Reynolds, and Stephanie (Daniel) Antonov, five grandchildren (Allison, Madison, Katarina, Michael, and Abigail), one great grandchild (Charli), and four siblings (Michael, Kathy, Tom, and Jack). He is predeceased in death by his parents (Albert and Katherine), and one brother (Kenneth).

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to either the Alpha Center for Women in Ocala or Brother’s Keeper Ministries.

  5. I sure will miss my sweet Uncle that became more to me after my Dad’s death. I couldn’t see him for such a long time without crying because he was so much like my Dad. Looks, mannerisms, laugh, voice. It brings me some peace knowing that they are now reunited. Hopefully fishing in heaven. I will miss you Uncle Steve!!

  6. I watched Brenda and Steve’s Kids in Indiana years ago and became very close friends. I always tried to keep in touch when visiting Florida. Steve always smiled and made me laugh. He will be forever missed. I’m sending love & prayers to all. ❤️
