Susan Jantonio – Obituary
Susan Jantonio (née Brown; formerly Lawlor), age 79, of The Villages, Florida, passed away on March 18, 2026. Born November 19, 1946, Susan was equal parts sparkle, sass, and snark, and she did everything on her own terms.
Susan is predeceased by her parents, former husband Tom Lawlor, and husband Daniel Jantonio. She and Dan, her high school sweetheart, were reunited and married on January 1, 2000. She is survived by her sons Scott (Cathy) Lawlor and Seann (Debbie) Lawlor, her stepson Christopher, and her cherished grandsons Mason, Brendan, Alex, and Jacob. Also surviving are her sister Kayleen Jackson (Carson, deceased), half-sister Kathleen Kent (Jim), nieces Pam (Mike) Steffancin, Kelly Kent, Stacy Kent, Kristy Kocin, and nephew Jarrod Kocin (Shannon).
Professionally, Susan worked as a police dispatcher for the City of Eastlake and was later employed by Parkview Federal Bank, serving as loan manager at the Eastlake and Mentor branches. She lived in Eastlake, Willoughby, and Chardon before moving to The Villages in 2006.
Susan doted on her beloved pets—cats Sammie and Miss Lu Lu Belle and her turtle Spikey. She enjoyed reading mystery novels and was a self-described crime show junkie. Known for her beautiful smile and playful sense of humor, she brightened the lives of her family and friends.
The family suggests donations to local animal shelters in Susan’s memory.
