July 24, 2021

Suzanne Maxwell Davis, 75, passed away July 23, 2021 at the Community Hospice center in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born in Jackson, Mississippi but grew up in Laurel, Mississippi and graduated from R.H. Watkins High School in 1963. After high school she attended Mississippi State College for Women and graduated in 1967.

For most of her working career she was an executive secretary for fast-paced construction companies, the last employer being Summit Contractors in Jacksonville, Florida. She retired in 2009 and enjoyed her retirement by both traveling and relaxing. Suzanne was a member of Geneva Presbyterian Church and sang in the choir until health problems made it too difficult for her to continue.

Suzanne is survived by her husband Christian Davis, her son Alan Sproull, and her twin grandsons Duncan and Griffin.

Crevasse's Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Davis Family.

Guestbook

  1. My deepest condolences and wishes for peace and comfort to all…may Suzanne's joyous southern spirit carry on.

  2. My wonderful friend from more than fifty years ago, but what is time. My memory of Suzanne is her driving my ‘57 Ford from Laurel to Mississippi State and MSCW after weekends at home, joyfully singing the song “High Hopes” –

    “Any time you’re feeling bad
    ‘Stead of feelin’ sad
    Just remember that ram
Oops, there goes a billion kilowatt dam!”

God in you Grace wash away all tears.
