After a long illness, Sylvia Levonne Royal, 80, of Jacksonville, Florida, went to her eternal reward on August 4, 2023. Born on October 18, 1942, at Fayetteville, WV, she was the daughter of Herman Otto and Mary Elizabeth Dial Royal.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters Thelma Royal and Ellen Mazur Ellison; brothers Otto and Clifford Royal; and beloved ex-husband John Robinson, Sr.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sisters Norma Smith and Bernice Bird; daughter Synthia Robinson-Pack (Bill); granddaughter Tiffany Robins (Branden); and great-grandchildren Adeline and Graham who brought her so much joy; son John Robinson, Jr. (Micki); and grandchildren Johnathan, Chad, Shaylee Robinson, and Shayne Bamberger; foster child/niece Regina Redden and her children Devin, Jayland, and Kayleigh Redden.
Sylvia was known for her love of nature, especially the woods and rocks. She loved her special WV property that used to be part of her parents’ farm and timber land. It was her haven that she tended with love.
Per her request, there will be no public service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Community Hospice & Palliative Center (Jacksonville, Florida) so other patients and families can receive the excellent care they provided her (click here).
Crevasse's Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Royal family.

My best memory of Syb was when I brought our one month old grandson for a visit. I saw a softness in her that just melted my heart. She scooped him up and cuddled him; he was quite content. Rest in peace, my friend. Sending love to all the family. You can rest easy. She is home.
Love you Sue
