Thomas Michael Stoll

December 19, 1942 ~ March 12, 2024

Thomas Michael Stoll was born December 19th, 1942, and he departed his earthly home on March 12, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.

Tom joined the Air Force in 1960 and began foreign language school in upstate NY, and according to him “failed miserably”. He was then sent to be a part of the 2148 Outside Wire Communications squadron in Chaumont, France. Tom enjoyed his experience and took full advantage of serving in a foreign country where he shared many stories with his family and friends. After receiving an early discharge in 1964, he married his first wife in 1966, with whom they shared three daughters.

Tom attended Florissant Valley Community College where he received his AA degree, and then transferred to the University of Missouri (Rolla School of Mines), where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 1970. After divorcing his wife, he remarried July 10th, 1993.

Tom was an industrious person and extremely knowledgeable in the field of engineering. He became highly successful as an independent contractor working on several major projects across the country for many years until his retirement. It seems that he could fix anything and was known as the “go to guy” for many people.

Tom enjoyed flying model airplanes, dancing, scuba diving, and traveling throughout the U.S. He has been the treasurer of the Flying Gators Model Airplane club since 2017.

Tom is survived by his wife, Lisa Stoll; children Sandra Hallilnan, Donna Seibman, Elizabeth Nagy, and Tiffany Monday. He is the cherished grandfather of Angela Nolan, Alexander Pierce, Abigail Seibman, Jacob Seibman, Jadrien Monday, Julien Monday, and Jemien Monday

Tom was preceded in death by his father Leslie Stoll and his mother Norine Spath.

  8. My condolances to Tom's family. I lived next door to Tom and his first wife Jean when they lived in Davenport, Iowa. I was just a kid then who had an interest in photography. Tom sold me my first camera. It was a rangefinder 35mm he purchased when he was in the service. I remember Tom's old motorcycle. I think it was a Sears. It would probably be a real collectors item today! I have such great memories of Tom and his young family. I think they had a little white dog if I remember correctly. This was a long time ago, and these are some of my memories.
